Moomba Compression Project
APA GROUP | South Australia
Overview
The Moomba Compression Project involved the design and installation of a new compressor station and pressure reduction station in Moomba, South Australia.
The facility provides the capability to ship Eastern Haul Gas through the South-West Queensland Pipeline (SWQP), transforming this pipeline into a bi-directional gas transmission facility that connects various Queensland, South Australian and New South Wales pipeline assets and will be capable of delivering 360TJ/day of high pressure gas into the SWQP network.
In addition to the compressor station, the project involved upgrades to tie-in the existing Moomba Pressure Reduction Station (including the addition of two new 2MW gas heaters) and a new 1km pipeline to deliver gas from the Moomba Gas Plant to the compression / pressure reduction station site.
