The Macedon Gas Plant is a 220TJ/d domestic gas plant which supplies the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP) in Onslow, WA and has been in operation since 2014. The Macedon Low Pressure Operation (LPO) Project includes installation of a new Front End Compressor (FEC) and other modifications to the existing Macedon Gas Plant to allow the plant to operate at lower gas arrival pressures, extending the field life and maximising reservoir recovery for Woodside.
Enscope has been involved in the project from study phase through to project execution. Enscope has studied multiple low cost development options with the most favourable selected by Woodside and taken forward into Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase. At the conclusion of the Enscope FEED work, Woodside was able to take a Final Investment Decision (FID) and bring the project into execution.
The project scope includes installation of 1 x 100% Solar Turbines Taurus 70 and C51 Front End Compressor (FEC), procurement of ancillary items, structural works and new compressor access platforms and associated plant tie-ins within the live Macedon Gas Plant. Enscope are providing detailed design, construction management, completions
support and commissioning services as part of the execution phase.
