In August 2020, Enscope conducted an employee survey that revealed strong support for an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Engagement Strategy (AES). This strategy is integral to Enscope’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments, emphasizing the importance of diversity, inclusion, and long-term sustainability. The AES aims to contribute to the National ‘Closing the Gap’ agenda by promoting education, employment, and economic participation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The AES is championed by a dedicated working group and focuses on four key pillars: Employee Awareness, Supply Chain, Donations + Volunteering, and Education + Employment. Enscope promotes awareness and education about Aboriginal history and culture, seeks engagement with Aboriginal-owned businesses, encourages employee volunteering, and supports educational initiatives to improve prosperity and quality of life for Aboriginal people.
